How it all started
When I turned 22, thousands of years ago, and I know it’s not that a big of a milestone, I organised a small gathering in my house, for let’s say 12 people…
I bought at least 24 new glasses cause I simply didn’t want my guests to drink out of plastic cups. My mom almost killed me.
But it was that moment – the surviving moment – that I knew I liked elegant gatherings, nice food, and people that only mattered.
Disclaimer, it was only a Margarita party.
Later on…
…a year in France studying about events made me discover and get into a loving relationship with Wine.
But it was when I moved to Dubai that I realised how much I was missing the culture, the warmth, and the stories that a simple glass of wine could add to the table. Traveling was then associated to discovering the wines of the world.
In 2015, on a random trip to Beijing, cold and snowy as it was, I decided to spend my morning in a bookstore. And that was it. Right in front of me a classic Sommelier Pre course bible appeared and marked the beginning of my continuous wine education.
Born and raised in Greece, I’ve learned that opening your house to people that matter is a substance in my blood and along with wine make the world a better place to live in.
Being an international flight attendant for eight years, traveling to the four corners of the earth, meeting people and sharing their wine became a way of life. Born to be a hostess, baby!

With qualifications from the Wine and Spirit Educational Trust, the University of Adelaide, UCDavis, the Rioja Wine Academy and a constant curiosity to tasting the weird and uncommon, I decided to put together my three passions –people, wine, events– into an experience that will help you:
- Discover the flavours and aromas you already know and enhance your palate with new, exciting wines
- Challenge yourself and your peers into wine adventures of tasting, pairing and wine knowledge
- Master the obscure language of the wine snobs and show them that wine is your own culture
- Organise the best wine tasting experiences and share your wine stories to the world
- Give back to your local or the international community by simply sharing your wine.

Why Local?
local

adjective: local
- relating or restricted to a particular area or one’s neighbourhood.

- an inhabitant of a particular area or neighbourhood.
No matter how much you travel, there’s gonna be that one place in your heart you’ll always call home.
Yet, the more you travel, the more are the places you feel them like home.
Local (n), is a nickname that follows me since 2010, when I started traveling internationally; my friends would notice that I manage to blend in and adjust easily in every new place. Local was therefore my attitude, as they said.
And flattered as I felt, I accepted my Local crown and I continue as that ever since.
Being Local is a way of living, blending in with your surroundings, embracing your community and knowing where to have your best wine.
